Hello Calvarians!

We are pleased to bring you the long-awaited update for Calvaria: Duels of Eternity, which brings significant improvements that enhance the overall gameplay experience. All you need is to download and install the new version from our website.

All maps now display the intended special effects and the memory performance of the device has been optimised. Stability has also been improved. These changes provide a smoother and more visually appealing gameplay experience. 

Health and damage levels for all maps have been reworked and most of the bugs with special attacks have been fixed, resulting in more balanced and engaging battles. The combat system has been tweaked so that special attacks work and look as they should. In addition, the UI now provides a clearer indication of cards' special abilities and damage dealt, making the game more user-friendly.

Key focus is on performance optimisation, including the elimination of memory leaks and better management of device resources. Work continues on the battle system and fixing bugs causing unintended restarts. This update marks a major leap forward for Calvaria, offering a more stable, balanced and accessible card game. 

We are very grateful for your patience and support. The development process is in full swing, we are trying to fix all the bugs and bring the game mechanics to their final form. This update includes a lot of changes, but it is not enough for a full release but you can be sure that we are still working on the first official version of the game. 

One more thing: whitelist has finally been disabled. This means that anyone can now play the beta version of Calvaria: DoE. Invite your friends, spread the word and get to know the improvements today!

General list of fixes and improvements included in this update:

  • Fixed displaying of special effects, their disappearance, and added missing special effects for cards that did not have them. Also optimized device memory performance when working with special effects.
  • Fixed most of the combinations that caused unintentional cyclic reloading of the game (this problem can still occur during the game - we monitor the logs of your battles and will fix them further).
  • Fixed game freezes when certain cards are used.
  • As part of the finalization of the game mechanics, the health and damage levels for all cards have been reworked, and most of the special attack bugs have been fixed.
  • Reimagined the overall combat logic of all cards, including fixing and making all special attacks look pre-final.
  • Added indication of special card abilities, damage dealt to cards, and fixed some minor UI bugs.
  • Optimized the overall operation of the application to eliminate the problem of memory leaks and computing resource usage of the device.
  • Whitelist has been disabled. The game is open for everyone.
